When you create an account with Signl, we collect the following information through our authentication provider (Clerk):

Email address
Display name
Profile picture (if provided via Google or Discord OAuth)
Authentication tokens (managed by Clerk)

We also collect usage data including which signals you view and your subscription status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain our service
Send you daily digest emails and midday alerts (if opted in)
Process payments through Stripe
Improve our signal analysis quality
Communicate product updates and important notices

3. Third-Party Services

Signl integrates with the following third-party services:

Clerk — Authentication, identity management, and session handling
Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
Resend — Transactional email delivery
Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring (no personal data is collected)
OpenAI — AI-powered chart analysis (no personal data is sent to OpenAI)

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions (__session cookie set by Clerk). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Signal analysis data and anonymized usage statistics may be retained for improving our service.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Clerk, and encrypted payment processing via Stripe. We never store credit card information on our servers.
